it was my paint on her car....no dents..no paint scraped from her car...i hit her going 1 mph...its just my paint on her car.....i honestly could have removed it with a paint renewer...i feel that she wants to hustle me

one of my friends totaled his car rear ending a woman and his insurance premium only went up 200 dollars...so id rather pay the higher insurance then give her the satisfaction of knowing she hustled me for 500-1000 dollars

insurance premium went by 200/yr and thats for a few yrs, so it does add up

while i also think 500 is a bit steep for a paint scraping, i would only pay if my driving record is not stellar which would probably mean a higher premium increase

...er I forgot to ask...was she single and was she hot?....ask her out for a date...she may charge less.....

this has NOTHING to do with my integrity as a doctor...it is a FENDER BENDER, no one is hurt and the OP isn't trying to stiff her..500 dollars is enough to take care of any damage on her car.

is there a REASON you think that insurance needs to be involved?? police, yes, its a reportable accident, but even they will tell you that accidents of small monetary value (500-1000 depending on the state) only require a report to be filed and insurance information to be exchanged. If a person choose NOT to use insurance to cover the cost, there is nothing unethical about that.

unethical is the insurance companies, upping this poor guy's premiums after such a minor scrape and the potentially dropping his coverage if he is in a couple more incidents (EVEN if they aren't his fault)...you work for an insurance company??

No I dont work for a insurance company! A wrong is a wrong and 2 wrongs dont make a write. A aspiring doctors we need to hold ourself to higher standards. If your cheating a few dollars hear and their whats next?? An exam perhaps?

the only other accident i have on my record was about 3 years ago...lol my 1 month anniversary of driving and i t-boned a woman totalling my car...but it was completely her fault because she made the left turn so late..

o yea i had another fender bender exactly 1 year ago in which the blame was 50/50 by the insurance companies but my insurance company refused to pay for her damage and her insurance company gave me 500 dollars

but other then that...i have no tickets or anything...she still has yet to call me back which is kinda frustrating but hey...maybe she forgot? haha
