It was quite a sight to see Benedict XVI visiting the US this past weekend. I was also impressed that he received a very warm welcome in the US. This July he is going to be visiting Australia, I can't wait, this is the most exciting event in my life!!! I am definitely going to be there in Sydney!!! He is going to be in Australia for two weeks.

The Holy Roman Empire was one that consisted of mostly Central European states, it had a close relationship with the Vatican, it lasted nearly 1000 years. It was most notable for fighting the Crusades. That very Empire is just about to be resurrected once again. Much of European history has centered around the resurrection of the Roman Empire. In fact the two world wars largely centered around the rebirth of this Empire.

Benedict XVI will definitely have an influence on the West, especially since the White House has become a tarred institution in the eyes of so many people.

This July he is going to illuminate the darkening skies of Australia as well.

Its the Holy Roman Empire, and it will have an effect on the entire planet. Hilary started talking tough with regards to foreign policy, she's a bigger clown than Bush will ever be, the leftist media will never agree though. Anyway the baton of world policeman is going to passed to Europe and Asia.

oh yeah. rome is well tipped to be the next great superpower.

You missed the point, the spiritual "head" of this new world power is located in the Vatican which happens to be in Rome. Hence "Holy Roman". In the Middle Ages much of this Empire consisted of what is today modern day Germany.
