not sure about hockey, since its a useless sport to the majority of Americans, but the NE soccer team in the MLS lost in their championship game.

those of you that are blasting romo obviously either didn't watch the game or know nothing about football. i don't care for him or his team (even though i was in Dallas and thoroughly enjoyed the home opener), but PUH-LEASE, the loss had a LOT more to do with other issues then Romessica...such as

- Cowboys WRs dropped passes (and there were PLENTY, including the te W late in the 4th)
- bad coaching - WP has NEVER won a playoff game
- experience - Romo has NEVER won a playoff game
- RB drama - J.J. flipped out when he was told he wouldn't start and was useless
- great defense by the Giants (over and over and over Romo was pressured and hit or had to rush a pass)
- terrible blocking by the Cowboys (see above or pathetic running game)
- lots of penalties by the Cowboys
- bad special teams by the Cowboys (look at the long returns on punts/kickoffs)
- lack of Cowboys running defense (BJ and even his backup ran well and converted key downs)

overall a pathetic showing by all the Cowboys, and personally i think that Romo is being skewered for absolutely nothing. he played as well as he could but couldn't make his WRs catch or his linemen block.

he did a good job w/ efficiency today against the boys and he has 2 wins this year in the playoffs, more then Romo has.

face it, the Giants are a better team, period. their D is better, their OLine is better, their WRs performed well, their RBs played better...even their special teams played better.

give respect where its due...

all this from someone who doesn't even really like the boys or the giants.

It really wasn't all Romo's fault at all, as Am-IMG pointed out. I just think he put himself in a bad situation (where he WILL be blamed, at least in large part) by hitting the Mexican beaches with She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named during the playoffs. Bad decision.
I was surprised to see TO backing his QB - this being the (former?) "me-first" guy who blamed Philly's SB loss squarely on McNabb, and told the press he thought Garcia was gay.
Wait a minute, here... TO supporting his team... Moss drinking the Kool-Aid in Foxboro... THE APOCALYPSE IS UPON US!
