Death from Overwork & Residency

Anyone ever know of any residents sharing the same fate from Karoshi (death from overwork)? I just learned about it from this video:

At least it's more noble than dying from playing Starcraft or something

Probably it is possible, in reality death from suicide in medicine and in healthcare is more likely than from overwork. Anesthesiologists have some of the highest suicide rates in the profession. Dentist also have a high rate of suicide. The reason for this is that both have easy access to anesthesia which can be lethal.

Its also possible that an overworked resident may cause a death, in Chicago, a few years ago, a sleepy medical resident got behind the wheel of a car and killed someone in a vehicular collision.

last i checked anesthesiologists and dentists didn't really overwork.
you stated your point then said those two have high suicide rates because of accessibility to drugs.

the over worked resident getting into a car accident is VERY common. happens all the time.

Any ordinary person could easily put themselves to sleep, they can get what they need from their corner drugstore and booze outlet. I remember the lead singer of Milli Vanilli died of a combination of medication and alcohol, but the police report said it was not a suicide.
