The 80's used to have the best Action movies, I miss a lot of those Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Van Damme, and Seagal movies. The movies these days are boring as hell. I heard though that Rambo IV is coming out soon.

when was Stallone ever "action". In over half his movies, the stunt men do their best, but it only takes 2 sec of his depressed looking face to ruin it. bleh!

Movies today are too video game like, the CGI effects are too much. Why bother with actors when every other scene seems to be a computer image? Recently I have been getting into anime which really uses imagery in some interesting ways.
Old school action movies were a lot of fun, I also love old school Heavy Metal, the stuff that people listen to today is so annoying, especially that effeminate dude from Maroon 5. Everything these days is getting to effeminate.
I didn't say they weren't great, just stallone was awful. If it wasn't for the '80's we wouldn't have The Princess Bride, Private Benjamin, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Thief of Hearts, Back to the Future, and last but not least Batman!!!
I love the 80's and never get tired of watching those movies any number of times. The new movies are just making me mad. They ruined Bridge to Teribithia and give the kid a metal arm!! They ruined Star Wars with the newest one, with enough flash to probably give epilepsy attacks.
Oh and the golden compass by phillip pullman is being made into a movie and its one of my fav books. I shudder to see what they're going to do to it.

hey man Cobra is one of the best action movies EVER.
but remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.
Robocop, Terminator, Predator, Alien.. hot dang.

why even bother with the obvious. Just know where you are need it and where you can help the most.
45 points James Cameron action movies were bad to the bone.
I saw a preview for Iron Man on the web, Tony Stark builds an Iron Man suit to escape and battle Islamic terrorists in the preview, you never know sometimes previews mix up plot details, Batman Returns looked cool in the previews but the actual movie sucked. Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark???!! Its not going to work.
James Cameron's last real action movie was True Lies in 94'. In the late 1990's there were a lot of Will Smith, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta action movies which were slick but not as good as the Stallone-Schwarzenegger movies of the 80's.
Transformers was like a music video than an action movie but that is typical of Michael Bay.
Rambo IV got delayed because they changed the scenario.
Live Free or Die Hard was a fine example of how Hollywood is sissifying good action movies. In a way it kind of showed a generational gap, Bruce Willis a macho middle aged tough guy and his sidekick was a Gen Y sissie computer geek.
Teenage comedy movies with 25 year old "teens" were cool like Fast Times at Ridgemont High.
