haha I wont disagree but man bobby isn't a coach anymore. When he was, he was great. He took florida state college for women and made it into a national power thats something none of these other great coaches have done.

so based on my original posting to this thread i guess i was off on the national champion, although i do think they should have gotten a shot at the national championship since 1 of their losses came from their main qb being injured. however i fared pretty well in picking all the champions for the main conferences except the Big 10 & that also was determined on the last game of the season when they lost to ohio state. Predictions for the BCS games: BCS Championship: LSU -6.5 over Ohio St Sugar Bowl: Georgia -9.5 over Hawaii Orange Bowl: Virginia Tech -9.5 over Kansas Rose Bowl: USC -14 over Illinois Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma -3 over West Virginia |

this will be close if pat white & slaton r playing for WVU. oklahoma will blowout them out if either is missing.
the playoff argument is legit, but this yr alot of the teams decided it themselves in the last few games of the season...LSU seems to be the 'chosen one' & there 2 losses did not come in regulation. the other 2 loss teams cannot say that (oklahoma, usc, georgia, va tech, etc). & u wouldnt think that this is a conspiracy so that LSU can play the national championship in what is essentially a home game for them. the only real surprise is Kansas getting in to the bcs even tho their loss is to mizzou which didnt even make a bcs bid! & kansas never had a W against a ranked opponent all year! like theres always debate every yr regarding this, but the bcs did get the other bowl games right, so the bcs committee cant satisfy 'em all...biggest losers r definitely mizzou & arizona state, which the fiesta bowl (which is basically in their backyard) should have chosen instead of a injury depleted wvu team that just had their worst loss of the season Last edited by mike james : 12-03-2007 at 03:03 AM. |
