i went to UC-Riv...its not THAT big of a party school, plus everyone goes home mostly on weekends. lots of parties occur in the city/area, but mainly due to a large surrounding population.
as for the college in the south w/ "tough admission" its more to do w/ the VAST number of applicants then anything else. UT is NOT on the same level as the Ivys, the UCs or high end liberal arts/engineering schools. i swear UCSB is like the graveyard of brain cells.
