I clearly remember something that looked like a gun in the Gendarme's holster when I was in Paris this July.

You said police, not gendarmerie. The Police Nationale are like our cops and they take care of civilians. The gendarmerie are the military force responsible for airport security, certain buildings like the ministry ones, and security of certain public buildings like banks.

Two different things, so i'm lost as to which we're talking about. If it is the police, then they carry taser, lead batons, and wear kevlar. The gendarmerie carry guns, but their purpose is to protect from bomb attacks, political buildings, and military matters. If a gendarmerie ever shoots a civilian, they are wrong and breaking the law if the law is still in effect. Totally different. That's like saying the FBI, CIA, and state police are all the same and have same objectives.

Regardless, France is going to be a satellite of Germany. The EU is pretty much a cloak for German ambition. The ECB is located in Frankfurt, and Germany pretty much dominates Europe's economic affairs.

France is going to be a satellite for germany... a country that almost destroyed her. Let's suppose your theory for the EU being a cloak for Germany is true, then there are still checks and balances against it. The Benelux would never allow Germany to become a monster again because their countries would be the first to be hurt. They would make an alliance with France. What about Spain, Portugal, and Italy? I don't they're going to suffer Germany AGAIN. Italy maybe, but not too high of a chance.

ECB is the Electronic Code Book...?!?

Where did you find this weird distinction between the French Police and the Gendarmerie? It is as far as I know utterly incorrect.

Gendarme often function as police in the outskirts of Paris, and I saw them in an area outside the city. Germany has different kinds of Police, or Polizei as they are known, they wear green uniforms. There is another group called the Ordnungsamt who are unarmed.

Read your Wikipedia carefully re Gendarmerie National and Police Nationale and then with equal care re-examine what you wrote in the post I quoted. You could also look here -Gendarmerie
I would be particularly interested to know which law it is that signifies that "If a gendarmerie (sic) ever shoots a civilian, they are wrong and breaking the law if the law is still in effect." But I wouldn't want you to overlook the other inaccuracies either.
