I never watched it. Surprisingly, I only watched very few anime. The anime that came on television that I watched was Robotech/Macross back when I was a little kid, God did they have awesome toys for that show.

But if you want an anime that's not all artsy-fartsy that psuedo-intellectuals like talking about because they think they "get it," watch Grave of the Fireflies (subtitled, NOT dubbed). One of the greatest movies out there, animated or not.

Gundam 0080 War in the Pocket is a fantastic mini series.

DB/DBZ/DBGT was an awesome series as well, but i didn't like the ending of DBZ. the whole Mr Satan/Hercule thing was just too much comedy for that particular time.

overall though, the DB/DBZ/DBGT saga is flat out amazing. you can watch it anytime, any place and it will blow the minds off of young kids.

Evangelion is amazing stuff as well. great story/art.

I do...

Goku, Krilling, Master Roshi, Bulma and her Capsule Corp reminds me of Microsoft, Picolo, Zell, Freiza, The Ginju Force (hilarious guys) Majin boo...etc. What a long series. I enjoyed it a lot, and all my kids too. I havve collectible figures and all that. Actually I saw all 3 Dragonball series, Dragonball (very cute) Z and GT. My favorite saga was the Zell saga, I think they overextended the Freiza and Majin boo saga's.

You want to view a rear kicking anime....Ergo Proxy is the way to go. They are running it on Fuse channel. I saw it in the original japanese. Same creators of Cowboy Bebop (excellent series)

The end of eva

The first ending of Eva was anticlimatic, reason why they had to re-do the end of evangelion.

Yes, I do

I love anime, anyone who have noticed my signature will notice right away. Right now, I would recommend Ergo Proxy, great visuals, complicated story line, but after viewing it a couple of times, you will get it. I saw the original Japanese version. It is airing on Fuse channel in english. Some other great series, Gilgamesh, Last Exile, Cowboy Bebop, Wolfs Rain, Gankutsuou. Oh if you can grab your hand on Monster, 76 episodes, it will blow your mind. Do you download from baka-updates?
