yes it matters. you are less likely to get a competitive residency from an offshore school and from certain offshore schools its even less likely. i can't vouch for the opportunities to be a letch coming from an offshore school compared to a US school however. No one has ever asked that before.

I thought once you finish your residency you are on equal terms with other MDs who finished the same residency. It is supposed to be harder to match into a competitive field from an offshore school but from what I know Primary care fields are open.

so much man bashing in this forum. I bet a dollar the girl asked him out. What ever happened to the half plus 7 rule?

How can you be a letch if women are coming on to you? That is my uncle's situation. Think about it if you are from a small town do you want a mature well off MD who makes 250K plus a year or some redneck working class redneck?

once you finish your residency you (pretty much) are. but its getting into the residency that is the challanege if you want anything competitive, and that much harder from off shore, and worse from some schools than others.

ah, i see. so there are only redneck working class rednecks, and one doctor making 250K old enough to be their dad, available for the 20 year old women in your town to choose from. Sophie's choice indeed. And the man must hate having to settle for the lonely young things, what with not having any peers around to date, the poor dear. sorry. wasnt clear on the odd demographics for the town. carry on.
