The serial numbers of obliterated they said. As a student here on a visa, I don't see how he could have gotten a gun legally. From what I heard about the surrounding area though, it's not that hard to obtain a gun illegally. It's not hard to obtain a gun anywhere if you were really determined.

we're not talking about terrorsts with a politcal agenda. we're talking about people who legally buy guns or get them from their father's collection and go around shooting people. look up most of the shootings in america and see if there is any link to mass shootings and immigrantion. we are the only country where this happens on a regular basis and nothing is done. it is pathetic.

Right - generally they are in the US for one reason - to get an education and/or get a job. Is it the tons of people who come into the US illegally - they have already broken several laws just to get here? However, they are not doing crimes here either. Most mass murderers are people who snap or feel disenfranchised by society in general. There would most likely NOT be a way to stop them. Gun control would NOT stop them.

Apparently his letter he left behind was just a rambling mess.
Asians tend be under a lot of pressure, from society and their families. Especially in their school years. Places like Japan, China, and Korea have astronomical suicide rates, or students' minds literally snap. There are also whole groups of people who become little more than violent hermits in their parents' place, violently attacking anyone. This may just be an incident where one had access to firepower as well.

I would tend to agree with this based on my past experience. I went to an extremely competitive high school and college as well. My high school was about 35% East Asian (i.e. Chinese and Korean). During my 8 years in high school and college we had about 10 suicides, 8 of which were of East Asian descent. Very awful. Sometimes the pressure to succeed gets too much and people are unable to see anything positive in life. |
