Buy a Smartcar!

70-80 miles/gallon......but if the gas prices are killing ya, then you might not be able to afford the 25K sticker price.
A gallon of regular gas was $2.87 here in WA last night. Still very cheap compared to Europe, I paid a little over $5 bucks a gallon last time I was in Germany and it probably is more expensive this year.

we, unfortunately, all feel your pain...

2 options....

1. don't drive as much. $2.79/gal for regular, $2.99/gal for premium here in MI....

2. www.gasbuddy.com, you can search by zipcode.

I'm crying you a river.

In Montreal, we pay $3.62 per gallon US for regular and I have to use Mid-grade gasoline, too. That is closer to $3.72 per gallon.

I don't understand why we are letting Canada have gas when we are paying as much as we are. We should cut the flow to Canada and when prices are around a $1.00 a gallon in the U.S., then let them have the surplus. It’s time for Canada to start carrying their own weight. It’s not like they have an army to defend themselves anyway.

Gas here in NY has reached $2.93/gallon for 87 octane. I just got from Vegas and it's $2.69/gallon out there!

We could take them with half our tanks tied behind our backs.

Got one word for you, Scottie....Prius.

My Honda Civic does great on regular, and I get 35 MPG.

my car does roughly 26-28 mpg depending on my driving style, which isnt that bad when you take a look at many of the cars that are in the teens.

id love to get a hybrid car (not a prius though ). they have some that are coming on the market that even have 400 hp . the problem is, the price of them are crazy and it would take close to 5-6 years to save enough on gas to make up the difference in the car price.

The 400 HP hybrids don't do that well on gas mileage. They just do better than other cars that have 400 HP. G
