feeling down Q

A 29 yo F is feeling “down” x 2 weeks. She reports dec energy and poor concentration. She says that she felt good 6 weeks ago, with lots of energy and no need for sleep. This pattern has been going on for the past 3 years, but the episodes haven’t been that sever that they interfered with her job. What’s her DX?

a. borderline pd
b. seasonal affective d/o
c. cyclothymic d/o
d. Major depressive d/o, recurrent
e. bipolar d/o, depressed

bipolar d/o (sounds like bipolar type 2, since there is no interference with functioning)

answer is cyclothymic = hypomania + mild depression... SX going on for the past 3 years... episodes haven’t did not interfere with her job
