Hello Zns,

Unfortunately, SGU doesn't offer a loan program for pre-medical students. You would have to find funding by yourself (e.g. your parents), but other than that, there is no other way... Unless you apply for an undergradute loan, or your parent's take out a Plus loan, but before you do anything, call the FA department, and ask them to be sure.

Hope that helps.

premed

NO you dont go. I am a current sgu students in the MD. If the MD is your end goal do your undergrad in the states because it is cheaper and it will give you a shot at the US schools, which is what you should do at least 2x in my opinion before even considering sgu. If you dont then you will go down there and think that you should have tried in the states and then you will regret going to sgu. That is not the attitude you want because there are those in my class and they have a bad attitude and you dont need that. You need to be positive and think you gave your best shot and then went to sgu.

hey

hey thanxx for the advice, but its a long story y i am going to SGU for premed, 1st of all i was just in the PA program this past semester and i couldnt stand it ...i was driving my self insane just to become a PA i rather drive myself insane to become a doc. I am in my 3rd year of college, and I dont have orgo 1,2 and physics. I dont have a ** to get into med school, staying here it would take me longer. I also need atleast 6 months to study for the mcats. I have spoken to alot of people and they said that wat i am doing is smart because its going to take me longer here. Sometimes courses arent offered here in the states ect ect.I will be going into the 2nd year of premed this feb. At the end of the 3rd year i will have to take a test equivalent to the mcats. In the 1st year of med i will get a ** degree. Also everyone says u have a big advantage going there because u will get to know all the teachers and it will be much better for u to have been down there already before med school. I am going with my fiance we are gonna do this together. And i am really glad that i am doing this , i have a great avg 3.6 and so does he, so i never regret anything . I know we are both smart and we can do watever we really want...thank u ! 8)
