med etudiant is on a distinguished road
Are we allowed to shadow Residents?

Our members don't see this ad.
.....i would like to shadow an MUA resident at a local major medical center, are we allowed to? Or do they have to be a licensed doc?

Yes - You have to check with the rules and regs at the hospital. Make sure you have the University pre-med permission also - or it does not count.

What do you mean by it doesnt count. I've shadowed several family friends (MD's) w/o my University permission, and have conted that as E.C's...

(and yes my screename has changed due to personal reasons)

With your university's permission - you are covered for liability in case issues happen. Without it you could face legal boy.

Just want students to be safe. Also some pre-med committees get bent out of shape if you do stuff without permission. Please play it safe! Ask - get a form - return the forms to them. It could make a big difference in their LOR's for you.
