Intellectually stimulating magazines?

Any particular magazines that you subscribe or would subscribe to? Particularly in the sciences? In medicine? Thanks.

It depends on the area of medicine, JAMA is always a good read. It's obviously difficult to say with not much in the way of information.

Although not medically related, I personally like Road and Track magazine. It gives me insight as to what type of car I’m going to purchase when I’m out of med school.

Nature is good -- Journal of Oncology is interesting. Best and free is the BBC site in health.

Lancet and New England Journal of Medicine are good for professional reading, of course.

I also enjoy Bellevue Literary Review, Prevention and Mother Earth News... because you might not know it to look at me, but I'm crunchy like that. Fortean Times is a cool read, as well.

I love NEJM, The New York Times (particularly "The Ethicist" column), and NPR.org 's podcasts.

I used to read Playboy before the internet became big. But now, I stick to National Geo, TIME, and the occasional PC Gamer

My personal favorites are CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians (published by the American Cancer Society..and it's free!) and The New York Times (especially Tuesday's Science section and the Health section).
