Retake Chemistry

I have a question, I go to UCI and their policy is if you get a C or above you can't retake a class. Well I got a C+ in the last quarter of general chemistry and wanted to retake it so I was wondering if I retook it at a community college would it change my GPA for medical schools or at least look better since I made an effort to really master the material albeit at a community college? Don't medical schools look at all college transcripts?

Both will be on the transcripts. Would not waste time - do better in organic chemistry. Get help with your classes - I suggest tutors and a good MCAT prep class.

you can retake it at UCI
(I retook it when i got a C+ at UCD)

the only twist is that you will not receive any credits
However, the grades will show up on the transcript (it will not affect your gpa at all--i'm not sure if med school does though)

I did it to prove to med school that I changed, but that's pretty much it

if I were you, I'd just go on and do well on other classes (Chem II, o-chem, bio, physics)
because C+ was only for one part of the series

don't focus on the details, focus on the big picture

Salutations "jaysondeguzman":

The others are right. Just do better in your other courses. Let's say you retook the course and got a B+ or an A. If you don't do well and get a C in organic chemistry, then it won't really help you that much. You see what I mean? Focus on the future my friend! Good luck.
