I.am.a.44.year.old.male.considering.medical.school .

I.paid.or.earned.scholarships.to.attend.UCLA,.Harv ard,
and.Georgetown.

Undergraduate.GPA.was.3.852.;I.also.have.law.and.p ublic.policy.
graduate.degrees.(GRE.and.LSAT.scores.were.good).

I.worked.eight.years.(mostly.11-7.and.weekends).in.a.US
hospital.as.an.orderly/go-for.in.X-Ray,.ER,.OR,.and.Recovery.

I.currently.reside.in.California,.Arizona,and.Mexi co.as.my.
law.practice.requires.such..My.Spanish.exceeds.the .
conversational.level.

I.know.no.US.school.would.consider.me.due.to.my.ag e.
I.intend.to.work.all.of.my.life.

I.realize.that.I.have.some.pre-med.pre-requisite.classes.to
take--but.I.did.very.well.in.undergrad.physics,.calculus .and
biology.

Wow. I think you need some punctuation, it's a little light in that area.

Anyways, I had a student in my class who was I think 52 in Basic Sciences. Loans might be an issue, some private companies don't want to loan to someone beyond a certain age, but if you are practicing law right now, perhaps the money isn't an issue.

Bottom.line.is....no.you.are.not.too.old.!.

Hey drop top,
Am 55 and just was accepted in St James and AUA. Need to have prereq's. You are right about US schools they want the young, with unblemished academic records. Over the age of 28 - it gets iffy unless you are perfect 4.0, 45 MCAT, Lor's from highest sources.
- So age is not your issue. You will need organic chem. With GPA you may think about the better schools Ross, SGU, AUC, & Saba. You will also need MCAT for those schools - It is no fun. Could take a Kaplan course and get in August testing if you are quick. my .02
P.S. I don't know many lawyer's who like the work.

GO for it. I was worried about my age at first, now I think I will be one of the young guys. I'm 33.

As far as I can tell you are just the kind of student the Caribbean schools are looking for. You will do well in medical school and the only reason you won’t get into a US school is you age. Harvard's loss is the Caribbean’s gain.
