Poznan Graduates Residency Matching List
I was recently accepted into the Poznan 4 yr program, Fall 2007. I am trying decide if I want to go. Is there a matching list of graduates of Poznan and the residencies they got in the US? Anyone have stats on pass rates of Poznan students for USMLE I and II?
Thanks, Seth |

You can google your own list:
Poznan resident MD - Google Search But I don't think that there is a list compiled by the school. As for Pass rates ask some of the guys currently enrolled, they seem to be doing pretty well.

Why is there not an official list?
Is anyone else worried that PUMS doesn't keep an official list of where the past graduates have matched? I doubt there is not an official list because of laziness. Which would mean that there is not an official list because past graduates have had trouble matching.
Anyone have thoughts on this? Past or current students with more insight? |

Some do, some don't. Good point Bckwood.
In my earlier post I didn't mean to set up such a dichotomy. It's not, "the school is either lazy or poor matching statistics." PUMS has been around since 1993, so it has produced almost a decade worth of graduates. It would be nice to see the residencies graduates are getting, the percentage that are matching...Bckwood, I tried your suggestion of googling, but came up w/ very limited results. |

We are doing quite well on the USMLE as far as passing. I only know of one fail in my class so far. Although the scores are not that high on average. I scored a 205 (83). I would think the average score is between 80 and 90 on the two digit.
And yes it would be hard to believe they don't have a placement list, until you come here and see how the Poles do things. Can't really explain it, but it would be something like laziness in the US. If you are considering an easier residency to get into, PUMS will provide you with what you need. People are getting mainstream things like IM, FM, Peds and Surg for the most part. |
