Thread: Tutor for Entrance Exam (UJag, Gdansk, Poznan, Lodz)

Hello,

I'm going to be applying to a 6 year medical program in Poland and wanted to inquire about the possibility of finding a tutor for the entrance exam. Have any of you done this before? What do you think would be the best way to approach the test in order to receive a passing score? I know that the websites for the unis provide sample questions but from what I've read on these forums the actual tests are a lot more difficult. Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Personally I read textbooks, took some SAT tests at home on my own, and when I checked the sample tests of Jag, I saw that its ok.. if you already have some background in bio+chem (for Jag, and phys as well for other schools), only to refresh yourself and solve some problems should be enough. If you dont have backgorund, still you can do that on your own at home (I think you have time to prepare for the entrance tests). But of course to join a program or to have a personal tutor helps for discipline as well.

By the way, I benefited Student Doctor Network's MCAT forum to find answers for my questions. Also Chemical Forums - Index helps a lot.

Thank you for the info, bidi. Do you think that without any background in chemistry and a small background in biology I'd be able to pass the test if I prepared for the next 5 months?

Duzzy it depends on us. Everbody has his/her own pace and study style. I am a self learner and with a hard work it would be enough for me. But some need the synergy of a study center or a tutor more (actually I need as well, but for some reasons I can do this much). In any case its a good idea to join us and open the book now After writing this line, I will turn back to my bio book Maybe we ask bio+chem questions to each other in time

For sure I actually just picked up a chemsitry book with my friend who is studying in Pomeranian Medical. He is going to help me along the way. But if I have any more questions I'll be sure to ask you ask well!
