Lodz Question!

Hello all..

Some questions:

1. Application process.

2 According to website (AIM):
"Deadline for the application for both four- and six-year courses is 15 July each year for the following academic year" How many entering classes are there, and when do they start?

3. Is Stafford enough for all expenses?

4. How easy or difficult is it to get accepted?

5. Can one do ALL clinicals in the US?

Thanks

lodz university

Well - there's about 21 of us from the US going in Sept. I believe they have two classes starting in Sept and Feb.

Financial aid should be ready within a couple of weeks and so far I don't know how easy it is to get into the program, I would just pay the $40 and try it out. Good luck....

O.k.

Thanks wagnerk0...

-So one can apply to either Sep or Feb Class?

-Are u in the 6 or 4-year program?

-Also, on the web site tuition is in EURO? Would that be the equivalent in US$, or is the amount for US students different?

-How fast is the application process (from the time you send your application)?

-Finally, is LODZ approved in CA (I am a Cali Resident, and prefer to come back home later).

-Currently I am taking my last 2 pre-med classes and will finish by Dec. I am also considering UNIBE, but would like to explore other options as well.

***Do you mind PM'g me w/your email-or anyone else willing to help(I would greatly appreciate it).

Thanks again..

To my knowledge, no English program in Poland has received California approval to date.

However, I urge you not to take my word for it. As you are a California resident and would like to return at some point, I recommend that you contact Pat Park, Foreign Schools Liaison at the Medical Board of California at (916) 263-2367, or e-mail PPark@medbd.ca.gov

Ask her about any school that you are considering.

Good luck.

Thanks Miklos..

For those who are in the 6-year programs, how much Stafford do you get (max)/year? same like those in the 4-year program ($18500)?

loan amounts

Stafford loans have same max per year (8500 subsidized + 10000 unsubsidized) and the same total max (138500) for all your loans in a 6-year or 4-year school. Watch out for the total max

Thanks

Thanks neongoat for the info.

How about living expenses off-campus? (i.e. rent/food/transportation, etc...). The reason being is that I have a family. Any suggestions?

Thanks

poland

It's a bit hard to find info specifically about Lodz concerning cost of living and expenses. But I think it wouldn't be too far off to use Krakow as a base and maybe lower it very slightly.

Here's some links to info:

Also try here for lots of info about Poland in general including costs of food, apts. etc.

Hope that helps
