Jagiellonian entry exam 2008 (6 year program)
-Can anyone tell me how many students are already enrolled to write the entrance exam in Chicago 2008?
-Does anyone know how many students wrote last year ( 6year program) and how many were accepted. -Is the test one hour for Chemistry and one hour for Biology.? -Does anyone have info on how close to the biology book (recommended by the JAG. University) are the test questions. Thanks ![]() sunshine01 |

The test already happened, but I'll answer some of your questions for the sake of others who might find it pertinent.
1 - There were about 10 people at the Chicago exam (counting myself). I'd say it won't change much for next year, maybe +/- 2-3 students? 2 - For this year, the cut off mark was 72/90 (80%) (50 for Bio. and 40 for Chem. max) to be admitted or considered further for admission. I don't have the stats for last year. 3 - Yes, 1 hour for each subject, a total of 2 hours. Bio was 50 questions and Chem was 40 questions. 4 - The recommended textbook seems to be required because the review package refers at many intervals to several textbook passages for clarification. I didn't get the textbook, looking for it online was sort of difficult, but I think you can get a used copy off of Amazon. I'll provide the link once I find the right book. If some of the content in the review package is ambiguous, I suggest going to your usual textbook or even go online to clarify. The test questions themselves are very much like the questions they had in the practice tests they gave the candidates, which were pretty random. A mix of specific and broad questions. Some questions from previous tests even popped up so make sure you do all the practice tests. |
