Questions about Dormming in Poznan

I have the opportunity to either dorm or live with two other people in an apartment near the school. How is dorm life in Poznan, I am assuming their is gender separation. Is the dorm life very distracting or are most people disciplined and such.

don't assume dorm seperation

Don't assume anything. They do place couples together and if your in a 4 person suite that could mean one of the rooms is occupied by a couple. You could even end up with two couples. It wouldn't be the first time and no they don't tell you in advance.

rooms and discipline

The walls are paper thin and noise is an issue. As for discipline remember that 4 years are placed with 6 years which means that your neighbors may be 18 years old and since roommates/neighbors are often in a different program tests, classes, exams, are not scheduled at the same time and most 18 year olds really don't care if you have a test or exam tomorrow -- their still celebrating the fact they don't live at home. And, don't bother asking administration to help you with the problem all they want are $$$.

Thanks for the advice, I think I am going to get into that apartment then. I'm sure the calmer climate will help me keep my grades up, and it is true I can always party at the dorms.

I lived in medyk for 2 years, was alright, not too bad. If u live alone u have a private bathroom and a ok size room. I think its good to live in the dorms for first year or atleast half of it, to get yourself orientated with the area and some of the students. I bought a place last year, much calmer, but i def go back to the dorms to party, haha
