Dude... im neither Polish nor have any real experience w/ Poland, but let me tell you this: racial discrimination is (unfortunately) more or less a part of society where ever you go... you'll find it in the states, in eastern europe, western europe, africa, asia, everywhere! However, why don't you try to focus on the positive aspects of society, it's not like all all of Poland "is still undeveloped country with lots of criminal activity and uncontrolled behavior..." It might be, if you decide that 'everyone is against you because you are a person of color' or whatever.... Chill dude, chill! Having lived in both asia and eurpe I have found that there is a general rule of thumb:
Dont make trouble = dont run into trouble
Don't try to victimize yourself, embrace new cultures with love instead of biased/preconceived thoughts!!
I sincerely hope you understand what I mean, and if you dont, it's because ive had a bit too much to drink (argh argh, lovely Dutch apple beer...)
I spent 5 years living in a completely different environment, and i can personally say that ppl with who have already got negative attitudes of 'the locals' also generally feel that they don't fit in the local community... so.... NO, don't let others tell you that all Poles are evil (like coolaid) and form your own opinion (after all, ALL Indians smell like curry, right coolaid?!
Sure, advice is great, but don't let it dictate your future choice of attending med uni in a foreign country... use common sense... you'll foind discrimination everywhere (yes, everywhere! regardless if you're in india, europe or america...)
Mohaha!! Once again, sorry for posting intoxicated, but I simply couldn't hold back!! PIDORO!!
