Different agents than HMI and AIM?

Hey,
I'm an Accounting major and will be done in May with my graduation. I dont know HOW but I've built interest in medicine and want to pursue that.I've looked into HMI and AIM...are there any more agents beside these in the US? I've gotten in touch with HMI and have yet to start the process. How is Poland and for anyone who goes to one of the universities affiliated with Hope ...does Hope help you through out the years you're at the university? How is it in Poland for someone like myself whose from India..
I would really appreciate if you guys can help me out a bit and inform me ..cuz there really arent much sources for me to get to know from.

I remember going through Poland, was on a bus trip to germany and we drove through north poland to Berlin. It was a pleasant place. I did not experience any racism for me being black. Im also Indian btw.
Although 1 thing which really bothers me is the food. I hope we can buy our desi masalas there for cooking...
Are you thinking of 6 year md og 4 year md program?

Hi,
I dont have any personal expernices with the agents, but I wouldnt think it would be discriminating to say that most agents are crooks..pretty sure the opinions of the people who had dealt will them will fall in pretty soon..

There are plenty of brown people studying at Warsaw...and there is quite a few immigrants from that part of the world...I can probably mention 4 or 5 indian restaurants with good food..some of them are little more expensive then ur regular food joint...and there are shops that specialise in selling the spices, pickles an what not..

Xenophobia is widespread in Poland, they have been invaded by basically every country around them...so I guess it kinda left some scars...its not directed against colored people, but just some kinda misstrust. Its usually more noticeable among the older generations..the younger generations are usually much better. And ofcourse the situation is better in the larger cities with alot of visitors...such as Warsaw, Krakow and Gdansk (the 3 cities which I have visited and think they have lesser degree of xenophobia).
But as far as I know...for about the 3 years I been there..I havent heard of any indians getting beaten up or anything like that..

Hi. In Szczecin there are lots of students from India studying at PAM (now they have Norwegian or Swedish citizenship), or at other universities - mainly economics. I haven't heard them complaining about any discrimination or xenophobia here. I guess people in Szczecin got used to more "international" environment - there are plenty of Germans coming here every day for shopping ot sightseeing ( it's situated only 8km from the German border).

Stay out of HMI, they take too much money for doing nothing and they only have 2 hospitals for clinical rotations, they will try to sell you the school if you inquire more information, but take it from me, try to stay out of HMI. Im not sure on AIM, but from what i see they are not very organized online, i.e website wise. So be careful if they really want you tell them to pay for a visit to poland to check out the schools try to make a deal and say if i accept to attend i will repay for the airfare and if i do not attend then u will cover the airfare. Thats a very good business technique and you can actually see if HMI is worth anything outside of its 4 walls at their office, which btw no REAL admin official shows up for work to until 12 or 2 pm LOL. Some are ALWAYS in meetings (LIE because they do not want to deal with the kids who call to complain ) I experience this first hand, Called as a student and the Person was "in a meeting all day" called again pretending to be someone else and the person picked the phone right up... Just goes to show how much they really care about money and not the quality of education provided.

AIM is much worse. They screen your phone calls and dont schedule you the rotations you are requesting. They have a list but they say it so "backed up" that you have to wait a couple of months for it. Why would a brand new school have rotations so backed up that they cant offer them to the students??...Maybe if they dont like you..they'll make you wait for them...They tell you half-truths to suck you in. They sell you all these ideas about Lodz when in fact MUL is also in on the game. They dont care about u once they know they're getting money from you...Good luck with them
