Applying to Poznan, what are my chances?
What exactly are they looking for in terms on grades? i will be finishing up my bachelor of science this may and my GPA is around a 3.2. would that be sufficient for the 5 year dental program?
i am also thinking about applying for the poznan's 4 yr med program. how competitive is that? would my GPA cut it? also, when is the deadline for dental and med programs in poznan, i cant find these kind of information ANYWHERE!!! |

Here is the NY office website: USA Office - Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Poland, There isn't really a deadline. There have been people that applied weeks before school started and they were accepted.

thank you for all of your inputs. but what tends to be the entering GPA for the med and dental program?
also, I have another question about the application process. I am thinking about sending in my application within the next 2 weeks. However, i still need recommendation letters from my professors and my transcript from my high school. can i send these things in a seperate package or does it have to be in the same package as the application form? do they need to be directly from the school/professor or can i obtain these from the source and send it off as a package? thank you in advance for your help |

I sent my stuff separately. My HS transcript arrived on its own, as my college transcripts. It was my understanding that a student should not handle their own letters of recommendation, once you give the writer all of the necessary info it is their hands. I used interfolio for my LORs, and this was just fine with Poznan.
I can't help you with average GPAs of entering classes, I don't think that info is available anywhere. I think you will be just fine with your GPA though for either program. The one thing you may want to consider is that the dentistry program is longer than the MD, and I think (but am not 100% positive that you have to do 2 more years back here in the states after finishing). I guess my advice to you would be take your chances and apply! Quote:

When I applied to the 4 year program, I asked Prof. Wiktor what the average grades were for incoming students and he said it was a B, which is a 3.0 in the US. So it looks like your in good shape!!!

hi, i am searching for a 4_year MD program.
Could anybody reply from PUMS: 1) How much is the tuition? 2) Can I have any financial aid? Any info you provide will lead me to my dream being an MD. By the way I am a 27 year-old chemical engineer from Turkey. All the comments are welcome. |
