Katowice/ Silesia Medical Academy

Anybody out there from Katowice? I am still deciding between Poznan and Katowice, the second choice would be better for me, closer to my family in Poland, and also closer to the mountains. Please let me know how is life there, how many international students you guys have, how much is the tuition. is there any agency involved in the admission process etc... any info would be nice. I am accepted at Poznan but I am still not totally comminted to that decision, many things can still happen.

Hello, can you speak polish? do you plan on working in the USA? If you apply to the polish program through ur family in the area, then you wont have to deal with the english program agents HMI. We have a large number of international students from USA, Canada, Africa, various european countries, and Taiwan. Tuition is different depending on whether you're in the english or polish program.... but I believe you get a discount if you're of polish descent

yeah the problem is that I still have only Polish citizenship and in order to get into that program I would have to have dual citizenship, I have residency in US. Anyway the 6 year program, the cut off is at 27 and I am already 27 years old. Also I do not think I could get the federal loans for that program. Poznan is good about that, they accept people with green cards, other schools dont.
