Thread: Katowice or Lublin (Putting aside HMI)

Hello Guys,

I understand the HMI - an agency- for certian reasons is not kosher and there are many other options fellow medical students should look at; but I have not come across a post which has had a detailed direct answer about the difference between the two universities in Katowice and Lublin!

Now, I was wondering if anyone could help me in understanding if there is any educational & social difference between the two universities and the students. Also how does the examination sturcture work? Are the exams oral or written?

Also in terms of lifestyle does one town/city have more amercan based activities, restaraunts etc.

You guys get the jist of the question.

If theres any student from either place or anyone with an exprience they can share with me would be most appriciated!

I am a current student at Med. Univ. Of Silesia. I cant speak for lublin since I have never been there. At silesia, exams are multiple choice. Lublin is in the middle of nowhere, but silesia is in a town of about 400,000 people. In terms of american style malls, restaurants, etc. katowice has it and lublin doesnt.

yeah I would say that from what I heard Katowice is much better than Lublin.... it stilll aint a very nice experience regardless in Poland, but thats just the way that it goes there....
