Second, I've been to Krakow about 10 times in my life...I along with MANY other poeple regard it as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe(in the same league with Prague). Also, where do you get the opinion that the students are "butt-kissing"?

wow...not only i really disagree but this sounded like some kind of angry propaganda...
First of I lived in Krakow for years and i think it is absolutely one of the most beautiful cities in Europe(i lived many places PAris including so i have comparison).
Second: UJ is one of the best schools in Poland...they have one of the best speciality clinics too.
Also looking at some graduates my uncle and aunt including they are great specialists and doctors and very insightful and individual people with their own piece of mind rather then butt-kissing

US dept of ed, i dont know who you are or what you do or why you are saying what you're saying. To everybody else however let me say this THIS IS **, THIS GUY IS LYING, MAKING IT UP. To be honest i think you work for some other school, but whaterver lets not speculate. Let me first say that I live in the US and am plannin to AUC in the carribbean and have never applied to or went to jagiellonian. All that i know about the school comes the fact that i was born in polan, and know many people who've gone there. I can tell you 100% this guy is lying, the give aways are quite easy. Nobody who's ever spent any time in the country and knows anything about the education system there will tell you that UJ is THE best school there. It is renowned not only in poland but all over europe and the world. It was founded god knows how many centuries ago and was one of the first universities in the world, (i could be wrong but i think it was like one of the first 5 of so). Its medical school is excellent and the program for american students is very good if for no other reason it provides revenue to the school which it badly needs. they do not suck you for money either, the tuition is very low for US standards but the $10 K/ semester goes a long way over there. Also, since the program is so important for the school the classes (which are small) are tought by dept deans and most distinguished prof's most of who speak very good english.

when i read this i totally had to write a response b/c baloney like this annoys me, this is complete and utter crap and dept of ed should be banned for such blatant MIS-advertisement.

o my GOD SAVE ME.NOT A SECOND TIME.I JUST SENT MY APPLICATION TO THIS SCHOOL.I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLY FROM THIS GOOD SCHOOL ONLY FOR SOMEONE TO POST.WHO DO I BELIEVE NOW.THE SCHOOL OR THE PERSON POSTING FOR U.S DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.I AM APPLYING FOR TRANSFER TO THE SECOND YEAR OF THE 4 YEARS PROGRAMME AND NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY,THIS SCHOOL IS A GOOD SCHOOL FROM WHAT I KNOW.

Jagiellonian University medical College is a very good school - I've always heard only good opinions about it.
One shouldn't lie and discredit it on public forum.
