I feel kinda bad asking you a question since youve been giving out nonsotp replies. But i jsut wanted to know, since you do your clinicals in poland do you know if its better/more advantageous compared to doign them in the US or vice versa. I have heard that clinicals in US are better if you want to go back to the US since you can get reference letters for residency from familiar doctors.
Thanks |

Hey,
Well if you have a chance to do your clinics in the US then I would choose that. It's much better to have refrences from the US. The way I get my refrences is by doing summer internships in the US. Each year the students in Warsaw are required to do a month internship. Most of the students here from North America arrange to do theirs back in the US. The good thing about doing your clinics in Poland is that you get to do a lot of hands on things. This is partly due that lawyers aren't so involved in medicine here as they are in the US. If you are thinking of coming to a EU school and then transfering for clinics, it will probably not happen. This is due that the EU has new regulations stating that students are only alowed to do no more then 6 weeks abroad. So this would only give you time to do one or two clinical rotations abroad and then you would still have to come back to finish the rest of them. All the best, |

You have to set up your internships on your own. There are a couple of websites online that can help you find some internship for the summer. The key to getting a nice one is to start applying early in the year. A lot of people forget to do this.

Hey,
I usually get a monthly letter from www.careermd.com which from time to time lists available internships. Here is another website that has some internships http://www.mepca.org/SSRR.aspx. You will also have to just use a search engine to find some. If I remember some other ones I will also post them. All the best, |

HEY GUYS,
One more thing. If you are planning to apply to Warsaw. Please do not use agents. Apply to the school directly. Your application will be recieved and considered without the loss of money to some agent. A lot of people have had questions about this. All the best, |
