Hey there pks3211,

I was at the Dean's office yestarday. I talked to them about the applications and how things are going. They told me that they had recieved applications already, but that they will not make their final decisions until June. Because in June most of the prosepective students recieve their bachelor degrees. They need to know for certain that you have graduated. They do not have conditional acceptence yet. Maybe in the years to come. So don't worry. If you want to see if they have recieved your application for sure call them or email them. If you have problems with that let me know and I will look into it for you. My email is on the student website. If you are looking into gettin tickets for coming here. Plan for the 20th of June because the school year is suppose to start on the 25th. You will also have a day or two of mandatory orientation. The orientation will consist of a field trip throughout the city with the student government and the staff of the dean's office. We will show you the city and the school a little. Their will also be an official handing out of INDEXES and a couple of informational lectures by various consulates and student government. All the best,

matimd

Thank you, matimd
I will do like you said to contact the school. But, would you mind giving me some rough idea of the school schedule gonna be like for 06/07 'cause that would definitely help me in planning for the school (and of course, that's if i got accepted.... )~

Hey,

I will ask someone from the first year of the four year program to give me a copy of their schedule for this year. I can forward it to you via email. Just need your email. Though the first year schedule is very time demanding. There are days when you have class from 8am to 8pm. On the website there is a list of all the courses you will have your first year. My first year here was tough. Most of the time I was at the library and this included the weekends. Though after you make it through the first year, life gets so much better.

All the best,

matimd

question about 6 yr program

Hey there,

I was wondering if any of the 6 year students already have university degrees. This is the situation that I am in, but I just figure that since I dont have any of the prereq sciences, I might as well get accepted into a program before I do all the sciences and then try.

Anyone else out there in my situation?

Thanks,

MD

Whats up,

I’m in the same boat as you are. At first I was going to just take my sciences at a Junior college and then apply for a 4 year school. I ended up becoming more focused on a six year program, because I could always tough it out for the first two years and obtain the necessary sciences and then make the choice to stay or perhaps transfer to a program that has better clinicals in the USA. At least this way I would have a bit of flexibility. The extra time does not bother me much.

6 yr program

well i also was in a very similar situation 2 yrs ago when looking into med school. i also had a degree but decided against the 4th yr programs in poland. instead i decided to attend med school in hungary. at that time, i thought it would be a good foundation at the same time reviewing some forgotten concepts. i think i made the right decision going with the 6 yr program. my advise would be to go with what you think is right for you. doing an extra 2 yrs isn't that bad. also its better doing an extra 2 yrs as a med student than doing it at some junior college. where you'd still be unsure whether you would get accepted into med school or not. good luck man. szia

Hey Guys,

Just a quick post. I have added an announcements page to the http://www.*************************.prv.pl webpage. I will be posting some events that occur at our university, like the today's visist of Louis J. Ignarro who had recieved the nobel prize for his work with Nitric Oxide.

It's finals time for me so I might not have much time to update the info on the web for the next month, but I will try my best. All the best,
