Podiatry at NSU
I find this new program at Nova very interesting. From my understanding they are one of the ten largest private Universities now. Although a previous commentor in this thread said that this program will give them three years of DO school, that is not how I read it. It appears they will complete 24 months of podiatry residency and 1 year of medical internship in the 4 years. That leaves 1 year of osteopathic school or maybe two or three partime if they do clinical rotations during the podiatry residency portion. It is very novel, and a good way to help the impending physician shortage in Florida with private tuition dollars without starting three new state medical schools at UCF, FAU and FIU. I wouldn't be surprised if the University of Miami starts up the previously presigious two year PhD to MD program.
