some need to knows:

- K+ sparing diuretics are used with loop diuretics to prevent K+ depletion
- Spironolactone is used for hyperaldosteronism, Conn's syndrome

- Spironolactone S/E are gynecomastia, impotence, and anti-androgenic effects
- Triamterene & Amiloride S/E are leg cramps
- also watch out for hyperkalemia with K+ sparing drugs

Even dho you always need to know the clasic and prototype drug, lately they have been asking the other ones, and a course the clasic one.
