The Autonomic and Somatic Nervous System

Hiya

So i'm trying to write an essay on comparing the somatic and autonomic nervous system..

One of the things I am asked to compare is the control centre..

So for autonomic the control centres are in the hypothalamus, pons and medulla.

Can anyone help me with the somatic control centres?

Could anyone also define control centre for me?!

I am getting so lost here!

Please help...
