i think continuous infusion of leuprolide downregulates receptors on the prostate so that the prostate is less receptive to hormonal stimulation.

I think Leuprolide is a GnRH analog, so it continuously has affects on Ant pituitary to release LH and FSH, over time this causes downregulation of receptors for LH and FSH and thus decrease in Testosterone levels which helps in treating prostate cancer.
