Volunteering In A Pharmacy. What Should I Expect?
I will be volunteering in the Pharmacy of my local hospital tommorrow. Does anyone know of the type of tasks I will be expected to do. Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.

Back in HS, I volunteered in the hospital pharmacy (before I got smart and switched over to the ED), and basically I did the menial tasks that the people getting paid to be there didn't want to do, like:
-Pushing med carts up to patient care floors -Filling oral syringes with PO liquid meds for peds -Refilling the medication-dispensing "robot" -Entering medication charges into the billing system Really good if you don't want to interact with patients, but kind of boring otherwise. |
