Smile Hi Simple Guy

Yes I have read your post and questions, sent you a response to your pm local.....but for others, program here is good, strong, challenging academically, great teachers, as for loans, I cant answer that as dad pays the bills for me.....draw backs, to far from home.....clinical sites are solid, great classmates, work well together, library, labs etc are solid. But, as always, call the school, visit the school and make your own decision....whats right for me may not be whats right for you. Hope that helps......let me no if i can help anymore.

Thank you,MDPharmd

I have ... questions.
You mentioned that LOAN is available.Good.
How much this will cost for the whole programme?

Which semester are you in?

Please throw some light on the following and correct the info.
One will spend( 2 Years= 6 Semesters) on the island-school and come back to US or elsewhere for rotations to qualify for FPGEE. Then NAPLEX (NABP).That is all ???? Will they offer PharmD degree or ???

Regarding 35 students. Are they.... all together since inception of the school or number of students per semester ? The school seems to have trimester per annum.

What about FOOD?
Do you cook or arrange from Restuarants? Are there good places to eat and Hang out ???

Please reply and correct the info at yr leisure time.
Study Hard and Good luck to you.

Regards to u and all yr friends and Family.

Hey Simple Guy, sorry about the delay Yaeh loans are here, not sure about costs, as dad pays the bill, and gives me cash to live on. ( yaeh yaeh I no, spoiled) I am in 3rd semester.....as for time, six semesters on island, and the rest (clinical) can be done on island or in the USA. Yes the degree is PharmD. Not sure if you no this but NABP just changed the rules to get into the USA. Check out the web site for verification, but no longer need to be registered in this country, just eligible for license, which we are. Students are spread out over all terms and include in clinical spots. School does semesters either two per year or three, your choice but only two per year increases time spent on island. As for food, ***** and mack and cheez are great for me, as well as the caf on campus. Food spots on island are plenty some cheap and some mucho expensive. Good local gyms too, which helps, at least for me. Tourist island, cruze ships etc....but is comfortable....I am just a bit homesick and tired after writing five exams in the last two days. Hope that helps, let me no if there is anything else I can do.

FPGEC Policy Revision
4/6/2006

NABP’s Executive Committee has approved revisions to the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee’s (FPGEC) policy for evaluating and considering FPGEC Program applicants who did not obtain pharmacist licensure nor registration in the country or jurisdiction in which their pharmacy degree was earned. The changes in the policy will continue to protect the public health and welfare as well as the integrity of the FPGEC Program.
The modified policy outlines that if licensure and/or registration is required to practice pharmacy in the country or jurisdiction where the applicant earned a pharmacy degree, but at the time of graduation the applicant could not obtain licensure or registration in that country because he or she was not a citizen, the applicant must submit official proof of licensure in whatever country it was obtained. This modified policy was implemented to offer an alternative for those applicants who meet all of the following criteria:
  1. <LI class=statetext>The applicant can provide an official statement from the licensing/registration agency in the country or jurisdiction in which the pharmacy degree was earned confirming eligibility to practice pharmacy in that country or jurisdiction but because of non-citizenship neither licensure nor registration were obtained; and
  2. The applicant can provide official proof of pharmacist licensure and/or registration in a country or jurisdiction different than that in which the pharmacy degree was earned.
Applicants who did not obtain licensure in the country or jurisdiction in which the pharmacy degree was earned for any other reason remain ineligible for FPGEC Certification.

STMU grads meet these requirements for Pharmacy Registration.
