Iron

If a child ingests Iron tablets... wat happens?

a. GI bleed
b. resp depression

Out of the two options- which none of them are exact GI bleeding is more probable due to local irritation of gastric mucosa by iron pills. If a large amount was ingested gastric outlet obstruction can occur.

ya A is correct.Remember that is why in pregnant women who have GI upset, we change them to more soluble forms.
