Colon Cancer Qu
in RR path p.361 [new ed] goljan's hi yield margin notes say "L sided colon Ca is more likely to obstruct" whereas "R sided colon ca. is more likely to bleed."
But isnt the rectosigmoid part of the colon on the Left - and as u get closer to the rectum, u should have better chances of bleeding.... At the same time... the Right part of the colon [e.g. ascending colon] is more midgut-like... and therefore a Ca here would cause obstruction? confused, tasha ps: i checked his errata sheet, no updates for this page. |
