510 points Interesting that a D.O. is complaining considering they have there own residencies that M.D.'s can't apply to.
542 points I second that. We are not looking for the DO residency slots at all. They need more residency slots as more physicians are retiring and the baby boomers are getting older.
They need something to do.
10535 points like we want bluebook rotations anyway...maybe the ACGME should ban osteopathic students from participating in the allopathic match if mixing with MD students dilutes their education.

The article talks about Caribbean schools "buying" residency spots... If it's true, then offshore medical students who are NOT attending schools that "buy" residency spots should be more worried than DO students IMO.

Yeah I would love to know what residency spots are being bought considering I haven't heard of this yet. Same old schools wanting to get their cake and eat it too. Also which of the schools that have high enrollment charges all tuition up front. They need to state some sources because all of that information is so far off base it's not funny. Oh well I guess I'm just happy I'll be done in less than 15 weeks.
