PCOM is probably one of the top 3 D.O. programs. Their admissions statistics are on par with many mid-tier M.D. programs.
If you frequent the Student Doctor Network, there is a thread discussing PCOM's post-bacc program and the success of gaining admission to the medical school after completion.

hey you guys...i havent been on here in awhile....but i am very familiar with PCOM...i have friends who go there and friends who applied also..
It is a nice school...the one thing that i can say is just b/c you do the postbac..you are not pathway'ed into the med school. You will get a interview but may not get accepted...I was told by a PCOM interviewer that most people from the postbac go to other schools or the carib..if they are not accepted. Two of my friends applied for the incoming 09 class, one has good grades and a MCAT of 27...he was waitlisted(never accepted). And the other had good grades with a 26 MCAT and she was rejected. The competition is getting worse for these schools.

PCOM is a great school, the OLD DO schools are always seen as the best. Look into ATSU-KCOM's MS in biomedical sciences program. It is a great MS program for $5K (tuition) and the MS students have an amazing record of continuing on to the DO program. Hope this helps.
