i've said this before, it's nice to see the school is expanding it's education but i don't know who would want to come all the way to the Caribbean to go to nursing school. nursing schools already are easy enough to get into. i looked at the curriculum and it's 6 semester = 2 years which is the amount of time it would take to get your RN back in the states.

i don't know...maybe i'm missing something.

DocP. I dont know if I would say there easy to get into. Many have a waitlist. Nevertheless, it is a bit odd. AUA might be following UMHS-St. Kitts (Dr. Ross's new school) UMHS has a 97%(?) successful US nursing exam pass rate.

You can't get an RN in 2 years from start to finsh unless you are already have BSN in nursing.

ASN 2 years undergrad
BSN 4 years undergrad
BSN to RN is 2 years. Some US nursing schools contract this time to get RN in 5 years total from start of undergrad.

The AUA program appears to be an ASN program with auto admission with passing board scores thru affiliations to get BSN and RN

About people not going to the island for nursing school?
I guess there is a potential demand like the one that started the boom of offshore med schools.
