Typically online nursing schools are always for rns who want to get their bsns. If u want your rn license, you need to attend a traditional nursing school.

The original post looks like an attempt to promote that link to search engines. :(

Non-nurses with a Bachelor's and who meet some premed-like prerequisites may take the 12-month accelerated online hybrid entry B.S.N. from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. "There are three weeks of campus residency: approximately three months into the program students come to campus for two weeks of intensive skills and health assessments labs and the first clinical rotation. The last week of the program, students come to campus for the culminating capstone experience. Students complete clinical rotations in their home cities or nearby locations under the direct guidance of a qualified registered nurse preceptor and are supervised by UW Oshkosh clinical faculty. Generally, travel distance to clinical sites is within a 50-mile radius of the student's home community."

Students in certain health care professions already can take the famous exam-based entry A.S. or A.A.S. in nursing at Excelsior College, formerly Regents College of the University of the State of New York. They are probably not accepted for licensure in all 50 states; California, last I heard, barred individuals with their first RN-qualifying credential from Excelsior from their licensure.

Chamberlain College of Nursing, formerly Deaconess College of Nursing and co-owned with DeVry and Ross, is in the market with online entry Associate's.

And the two above, and countless others, offer RN-to-B.S.N. programs.

Yes, I do know some online schools provide RN programs online 100% or 50% for people who are "on the street" (it means no need any nursing background). But I heard the students in those programs not doing well.

Nursing....

There is no short cut in nursing just like there's no short cut in medicine. No doubt that people who are into internet RN courses, if there is, will not be doing good in practice, in fact will be a danger to patient care. If im not mistaken there are only online courses for RN to BSN and RN to MSN. My suggestion being a practicing RN is to go for an associate degree in nursing for 2 years of full time studies or if not the BSN track which will take 4 years of full time studies. If you want credibility in your degree/profession youve gotta sit in class and do hands on, thats how I see it. Good luck.

Here this is the website of the ONLINE NURSING COLLEGE, Rio Salado or Maricopa. They offer the classes completely online. The clinical practice is in the LOCAL PARNERSHIP HOSPITALS. If interested, don't hesitate to call them. They are very friendly and helpful. Main campus is in Phoenix, Arizona...
As I know, they don't need you to have any heath care background as well as RN or LPN, etc. As soon as you finish the requirement classes, they will let you in, no waiting list at all... And most important, this is an accredited school.
Good luck
