they're better then MDs at nursing.
truthfully, your ire is about as politicized as that letter. both are a bit off the mark. but that's what politics is all about i suppose.

Truthfully sometimes certain moderators on this forum overstep
their role as moderators and try to shape the discussion in a certain
way. Goto other forums and you will never or rarely see this.

Of course , if an NP was previously a nurse they would know more
about nursing then someone who did not study nursing.
That is stating the obvious.

sorry but moderators are also users and are free to post their opinions as much as anyone else. if you have a problem with this site you might find another more satisfying. Im glad you agree then that nurses are "at least as good" as MDs.

some doctors don't even know how to take a sample of a patient's blood family practice for instance.

I will post my thoughts and ideas for discussion on this site
and any other sites I find of interest.

Nurses are better at nursing because they train in that area.

They are not better at treating patients medically.

Phlebotomy skills are related to repetition; if you draw blood for labs
a thousand times you might be better then someone who draws it
twice a year.

good. no one said you couldnt. so will I.

most medical skills are a matter of repetition. in fact there was a study though showed the best docs had an iq of 108. ie rather average.

i would rather be treated by a skilled nurse practitioner than by someone who graduated from st theresa university for instance
