Student Loans & Pre-med...

Hi guys 8) ,

1) I would like to know...When going into the Pre-med program at MUA. For Loans, what is out there that is available to pay for the Pre-med program for a Canadian or US student????

2) Would a Pre-med student at MUA be eligible to receive CANHELP or a regular student loan?

3) When you are finish up with the Pre-med Program...do you get a certificate or degree before you enter the Basic Sciences?

Thanks,
Nemo :P

......

Check out MUA's website. They have all the info you should need, other than the specific $$ issue. I would call them direct about that, but from what I have been told, you can get the TERI loan or Mediachiever loan if you are a US resident even for the Pre Med portion of the program. You can apply for a Bach. degree and it will be given upon completion of the basic science portion of the program. Here is the link to the schools finincial portion of their website. Hope this helps.

Student Loan: Pre-Med (US Student)

I am planning on attending Pre-Med in May.
Keep in mind that Finance Info may change, so contact school directly to get updated information.

For a 'US student' that has been accepted for PRE-MED (only):

1. Co-signer is needed for both semesters. (good credit is needed)
2. You must pay for 1st semester before your start date.
3. You get your loan 30 days after your start date for both semesters.
4. Loan cap amount is around US $9000 per semester (+/-).

This info may change, CONTACT MUA, they are more than helpful.
Anytime I have a question, I send them email and they reply within 24 hours. They have been very helpful.
