Thread: Greenbook Pediatric Rotations

Hey everyone,

I am about to start my clinical rotations and I am having certain problems with regards to finding greenbook pediatric rotations. Apparently MUA has only one greenbook pediatric spot in Wycoff in NYC, but that spot is taken till July 2012 according to the clinical department. Was anyone here able to manage a greenbook pediatric rotation other than the Wycoff one?

Do you mean July 2012? If as in your post its July 2011 then you have no trouble at all getting a placement. Are you absolutely sure that MUA has only one "green book" pediatric rotation placement Is this what the Clinical dept told you?

Sorry about that. I had meant July 2012. I corrected the earlier post. As far as I was infromed, MUA has only one greenbook pediatric rotation in all its affiliated hospitals. I am trying to call hospitals outside the affiliation list but so far I have had none that would allow me to do my pediatric rotation with them.

isnt peds at houma greenbook too? or do you mean all the other peds positions at different hospitals are already full?

When I called the clinical department, I was told that the pediatrics rotation at Houma is the only core clerkship that is not greenbook in that hospital (aside from Psychiatry, which is not available there in the first place as far as I know). The only greenbook pediatrics rotation MUA has is the one in Wycoff Heights, NYC.
