    applying for Visa?

    Advertisements

    Hi there..
does anyone know whether its necessary for me to apply for visa for MUA. I have a indian passport and Canadian Permanent Residency. MUA seems to think I dont need to apply for Visa, but I have friends going to St Kitts at UMHA and Windsor and they had to apply for a visa. Can anyone help me out....

Also how did people book there flight to MUA. I know it has to be round trip...but is there a way to keep a open ticket cause Im not sure when Ill be coming back home after Med 1.

I know someone who has a foreign passport but a Permanent Resident status in the USA. And they had to get their visa to come to Nevis. I think that visa is only valid for a few months. But when you arrive, MUA will send your passport (on the orientation day) to the office in Nevis and it will be stamped with a long term visa for the duration of your studies on the island.
Concerning the ticket, many students buy theirs on kayak.com.

    Hope that helped

MUA takes care of the VISA required for Nevis for you. They need your police report, etc. that they request from you to do this. to visit Nevis for a short time does not require a Visa, so getting here without it is not a problem.

when i booked a one way ticket here they didn't care at the airport customs; they actually never even asked. they are use to getting students here and I doubt will give you problems for a one-way ticket.

I would still get a roun trip....you never know when they decide to ask ...
Actually,if i remember correclty,i was stopped at buffalo airport...they require intl travellers going thru U.S. to have a return ticket...i thought that was weird...

In any case, you can always change ur flight afterwards...its a 100$ extra though.
If ur staying at the dorms, book it for saturday or sunday at the end of med1(gives u time to clean and check out)...
if you ur not living onthe dorms, you can fly out Friday of the week we are supposed to finish, since u dont have to do the stupid rawlins cleaning, n hopefully wont have ot move out.
