Thread: Any list of Electives

Can MUA Administration please provide us with a complete list of electives that are offered to MUA students

This seems like a closely gaurded secret...i dono why the school wont provide a list...they've been asked time and agian...
i know many schools have their lists available..i want to plan ahead..it wud be nice to have the list.

There is no list...you apply for electives on your own where ever you want...school just ok's it...

You can do electives in whatever you want just as long as they are at least 1 month long.

huh?i thought there was some specific clinicals sites the school had....most ppl who dont have hookups were placed there....If you did however set something up urself, you had to get permission....and from one of the other threads here,it seems that school doesnt always allow students to do rotations at sites of their liking(even if its greenbook)...

I just want ot know which cities,hospitals the school has an understanding with...so i can plan better...

For Core electives the school has a set list where we can do rotations and the school will generally approve any rotations you set up on your own as long as they count. There are still certain states besides Cali, Texas, and Pennsylvania that do not recognize our school because we don't meet their requirements whatever they may be (e.g. not been around long enough, etc.) Electives you have to set up on your own and some of the places where you can do cores you can do electives as well. Again same restrictions and rules apply for electives but if you were to find a school in tennessee for example to do your elective or ohio then you contact that hospital and work it out with them and tell MUA vice versa.
