Scheduling electives
Hi,
I am currently a 1st semester student at MUA. I was wondering how the clinical portion works even though I know its still far down the road for me... Does MUA tell you where to go for the all the Core rotations and then you set up your own electives? As far as electives, can we go to a hospital that MUA does not have a core affliation with? Just trying to understand how it works...Thanks! |

rotation
Its very easy to worry about the future. Students want to be intern, intern want to be residents and residents want to be attendings. To answer your question i did all of my rotations in chicago. I matched this year in ER at south carolina. When you do your cores you find out that you can do electives at that hospital also. It all works out smoothly. Just study, scuba dive and try and enjoy the island, clinicals are the easy part of med school. Step 1 is a man's best friend 3 months studying(score 201) step 2 6 weeks study score 232. You will be fine. enjoy your life.
