If your clinicals is in New York City then you don't need a car. There are subways and buses everywhere. The subway is the prefered route especially if it starts to snow or have really bad weather.

    yes to getting a car

in most rotations your schedule varies from day to day, you may be on call, have clinic site all over the city, i would definitely recommend that you invest in a reliable car. unless ur going to new york, where their public transportation rocks, except for these rising gas prices, you won't regret getting a car.
